Introduction

Data transfers of up to a few GB to/from the file systems can be performed using scp or rsync via the login node. You may also consider using the file exchange GUI of MobaXterm or similar tools. The terrabyte Portal also offers applications with an included file exchange GUI (e.g. JupyterLab).

Massive data transfers

Please note that scp/rsync should not be used for massive data transfers! The Globus online facilities are available for large-scale data transfers. The usage of Globus is described in the large-scale data transfer section.

If you need to give data access to external project partners who are not entitled to register for terrabyte, you may use the sharing capabilities of the Data Science Storage system. This is described in the data sharing section.
